Our team of healthcare professionals is fully committed to providing you with the treatment you need. For more than 20 years, we have been treating patients with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) forms, like ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease. Our team features registered nurses and physicians that help to administer more than 2,000 infusions per year.
Philip M. Ginsburg, MD
Medical Director of PACT Infusion Center
Dr. Ginsburg is a Medical Director with a special interest in caring for patients with inflammatory bowel disease, which includes Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis. He conducts research in the field of IBD and has authored numerous publications on the topic. Dr. Ginsburg serves as the Medical Director of IBD Research and Director of the Inflammatory Bowel Disease Center of Connecticut.

Philip M. Ginsburg, MD
Medical Director
Dr. Ginsburg has a special interest in caring for patients with inflammatory bowel disease, which includes Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis. He conducts research in the field of IBD and has authored numerous publications on the topic. Dr. Ginsburg serves as the Medical Director of IBD Research and Director of the Inflammatory Bowel Disease Center of Connecticut. He also oversees his group’s infusion center where novel therapies are administered.
Dr. Ginsburg holds dual teaching appointments as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at both Yale University and Quinnipiac Schools of Medicine. He is a member of the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation, a Fellow of the American College of Gastroenterology, and an American Gastroenterological Association Fellow.
Dr. Ginsburg has served as a principal investigator or co-investigator in over 60 key clinical trials of novel investigational agents in IBD. He is a frequently invited speaker at symposia and seminars and has published articles in such peer-reviewed journals as The American Journal of Gastroenterology and Inflammatory Bowel Diseases.
Dr. Ginsburg has been practicing since 2005. He earned his medical degree at Jefferson Medical College, and completed an internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Chicago followed by a fellowship in Gastroenterology with a focus on Inflammatory Bowel Disease at Johns Hopkins.
Dr. Ginsburg sees patients from all over the state of CT and the surrounding region. He is affiliated with Yale New Haven Hospital.

Heidi VanBramer
Registered Nurse
Heidi was born in Connecticut and moved to Arizona after elementary school. She attended Pima Community College and the University of Arizona. She returned to Connecticut in 2018 and joined the GCC infusion team. She brings 25 years of nursing experience to the practice. She has worked in various areas of nursing including telemetry, ER, home health, radiology, and oncology with a focus in outpatient infusion for the last 14 years.

Alessandra Matteo
Registered Nurse, BSN
Alessandra was born and raised in CT. She graduated from Bridgeport Hospital School of Nursing in 2015 and started working as an emergency department RN. She then graduated with a Bachelors in Nursing in 2020 from the University of Louisiana. She has worked in Gastroenterology for the past 3 years having done endoscopy, motility testing, and infusions.

Amanda Nucifora-Stonaha
Registered Nurse, BSN
Amanda was born and raised in CT. She attended Quinnipiac University where she graduated with a Bachelors in Pre-veterinary medicine in 2004 and then with a Bachelors in Nursing in 2007.
She brings a wide variety of nursing experience including Psychiatry, Emergency Trauma, and home infusion therapy. Amanda joined GCC in 2016 making infusion her full time specialty.
